Part 1:
Outlook 2016 error: It will not connected, or Outlook “Need Password”
Jen, at Accounting kept getting the above issue.
Step 1: Delete all outlook cache data:
\\7p6x2wx2c\c$\Users\c.baraja\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
\\7p6x2wx2c\c$\Users\c.baraja\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook
step 2: Clear out any window credential by using Window Credential Manger
Step 2: Delete out any outlook mail profile
Control Panel > Mail (outlook) profile > Show Profile
step 3: Reboot the PC and then click on Outlook again to recreate profile again.
Part 2:
Run > regedit >
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\
Then create a new 32 bit new key as follow and set it to: 0
EnableADAL
-close and open outlook again, no reboot need!
The first thing to try first in Outlook issue:
Step 1. Try to update that program first by go to: FILE > OFFICE ACCOUNT > Office Update
Step 2. Then try to created a new profile next: by Control Panel > Mail
Step 3. Next step, always unchecked USE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE by
FILE > ACCOUNT SETTING > select ACCOUNT SETTING
-Mail tab, double click on user email to bring up the: USE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE…then UNCHECKED it.
*The above steps I think will solve 99% of outlook issue:
If still doesn’t fix go search below. Sometime if the OS is not up to date it can cause issue in outlook. Please update the OS (operating system) because this will take a very long time.
In outlook 2016,
When user go into the SENT ITEMS folder and do a search, the search function doesn’t work when search CURRENT MAILBOX.
but it does work when search ALL OUTLOOK ITEMS:
This telling us that Search is working. Search is part of Index Searching of the operating system. The operating system include to search a certain program and create indexing on it. If this doesn’t work, you have to check if indexing service is running ect…
In our issue above, search is working.
If we do:
-update outlook, or even update operating system.
-Outlook / safe
-Recreated new profile,
-Rebuild indexing outlook by go to File > Option > Search > Indexing Option > ADVANCE Rebuild
-backup and deleted all outlook data file and then reinstalling outlook.
-all the above steps DO NOT WORK! and it take days to complete, the resolution was, in this outlook it was set to use USE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE.
Just disable USE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE and the search function able to search CURRENT MAIL BOX again. See step 3 above on how to do this.

*USE CACHED EXCHANGE MODE can be very useful for offline mailbox design for dialup laptop remote users. In this age of fast connection speed and we don’t need to use it.
In outlook 2016, when a new email arrive the user does not received any notification alert next to the clock:
Resolution:
1. look here to see if the email alert are turn off.
In outlook, go to FILE > OPTION > MAIL > Message Arrival
2. Try this:
In outlook, go to Home > Rules > creating a new rule:
“On this Computer Only”
“Display Alert” + “Play Sound”

and run the rule on the new email, if you run on entire inbox will take forever.
3. If that doesn’t work, do step 4 first then go do: outlook repair or reinstall outlook.
Step: 4.
Outlook 2016 (office 365), when outlook get very slow to open up, this is a sign of corrupted mail profile: but it is also can be a sign of program ADD-IN issue.
You can disable extra program option by go to FILE > OPTION > ADD-INS click on GO, then uncheck it.
Do this first before recreated a new mail profile.
Go to this folder and you can cut (paste) those files to c:\.
The next time you open Outlook. It will recreated it automatically again.
Local outlook data file:
C:\Users\john.doe\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
Offline Address book:
C:\Users\john.doe\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books
Roaming outlook file:
C:\Users\john.doe\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook
Step 5:
Now you can recreate new Mail Profile by go to Control Panel > Mail
Manage outlook 2016:
File > Account Settings
*You can select the option.
If outlook 2016 is stuck on loading a profile:
You can try all the outlook switch.
Search > Outlook / Safe

Outlook 2016: missing the folders:
